The pieces in this collection are in progressive order of difficulty. They may be introduced as early as level two of a piano method. The pieces in this collection provide excellent music to reinforce concepts presented in a piano method and can be used to supplement any course of piano study. All pieces in this collection are suitable for recitals, auditions, festivals, and contests. A CD recording by pianist Diane Hidy is also available and includes all the pieces of Op.39 plus all the pieces from Kabalevsky's 30 Children's Pieces Op.27.
