Description: G. Henle Verlag presents Robert Schumann's Piano Sonata in G minor, Op.22. The genesis of this sonata extended over a period of several years. The second movement was the first part of this work to be composed and may be retraced to the posthumous song Im Herbst (Autumn). This was followed by the first movement and finally the Scherzo. These movements are referred to in a hitherto unpublished list written out in Schumann's own hand and headed 'Order of Compositions'. Distributed by Hal Leonard
