Description: The Mouvements Perpetuels were composed on the piano in a local elementary school at Asint-Masrtin-surle-Pre in October 1918. They were dedicated to Valentine Cross, through whom Poulenc had met Igor Strovinsky for the first time. These pieces were influenced by Erik Satie and Emmanuel Chabrier: short and energetic. The lack of key signatures in all three pieces give Poulenc the freedom to move through various keys without being restricted to any one key. Published by Alfred. Edited by Maurice Hinson
