Description: The symphonic style of Central Europe had little influence on Spanish composers. Mateo Albeniz kept the sonata design in a narrow format and treated it like a conversation piece, one in which every point could be made with superb precision. THis sonata contains elements of the lively zapateado dance in the pattarns of its 6/8 meter. These short, persistent figures recall Scarlatti and show guitar influence in places.
