While Dave Brubeck is perhaps best known as a jazz pianist and combo leader who forged polytonal and polymetric paths with the Dave Brubeck Quartet. He has also composed a large quantity of compositions for classical performers, including many large-scale choral works, and many pieces for the solo piano.
