The title of this piece says it all as it truly is an "elegant waltz." Its sophisticated sound and style will be particularly appealing to teenage and adult students. Written in G major and 3/4 meter, the right-hand melody encompasses a wide range of the keyboard. The A-B-A form features a running left-hand accompaniment in the A section followed by a syncopated pattern of broken chords and fifths in the B section.
