The 'Sight Reading' series by James Bastien (Levels 1 through 4) is designed to provide the student with additional reading material to reinforce concepts learned in 'Piano Lessons'.

Musical reading is our goal. The student may write in his own tempo indications based on the character and mood of the pieces. Also, the student may give titles to the pieces. In this manner the student will be taught to think creatively about the music, and reading will be more than just trying to play the notes in the correct rhythm.
